hello everyone,Just placed the healing abutments on a previously submerged implant. Will do ISQ next time at the impression appointment once I get my new Penguin. What are your thoughts on the selection of the healing abutments? Does it appear that there is violation of the biological width.? I used a 6x4mm on both and the top of the healing abutment sits just proud of the gingiva. should I have used 6 X 5mm? What are your thoughts?I am thinking a...

Hello dr.s,This patient has had an implant placed overseas. It is a MIS 3.3mm implant. Now he wants it restored. My cencerns are....this is a 46 being supported by essentially a mini implant. Too much occlusal force!options:1- go back to whoever put the implant in.2- place a premolar with a large gap between the "46" and the 45 to clean.3- place another 3.3 implant and splint them together. I appreciate your comments assuming that patie...

The history of the 16 was SCRC that was 3 years old.The patient has always sort of complained about the area feeling irritated. On one occasion there was a parulis on the mid buccal on the free gingiva.I did remove the crown and place a healing cap and had a new crown fabricated by EVO CAD as I thought the emergence was poor. I believe the patient felt relief with the healing abutment in place and the parulis was gone.Fast forward to today an...

Since then we have taken the temporary out, cleaned it with a diamond bur, sterilized and placed it back in to see if the problem has been the patients lack of hygiene. If not, and the problem are the exposed threads,...

Hi Mark,I have to remove a dethreaded prosthetic screw on a 25 SCRC crown in the next few weeks and just had a few questions....1) In the "Implant Complications" workshop we were told to use a No. 2 round bur first and then try to engage the screw with the Mini Abutment Removal Drivers in the ESR Kit. However, in your demo video you mention using a No. 8 round bur. Which one would you recommend? I noticed that the No.8 round bur seems...
